Summary of this Tutorial:

Start by installing and activating the WP Document Revisions plugin.

This plugin will add a "Documents" menu item in your WordPress admin sidebar.

To add a new document simply click on "Add Document" under the Documents section.

You will be able to give this document a title and upload it to WordPress.

As well as edit the workflow state and password protect the file.

To prevent multiple edits the plugin will tell users when you are working on the document.

The plugin even uses the existing WordPress user management to decide on user capabilities.
