If you manage a multi-author blog then you may sometimes wish to hide parts of the interface from users who will not need to use those sections. This is both for your site's safety as well as to prevent accidental issues later. In this video, we will show you how to hide unnecessary items from WordPress admin with Adminimize.

Start by installing and activating the Adminimize plugin

This will add an area under Settings called Adminimize

From here you can edit what parts of the interface users see when they are logged in.

The back end options are for all users and the global options are for specific user roles.

You can even set the color scheme for the different user roles.

Should you ever stop using the plugin be sure to deinstall the options first to reset your database.
