How to Create Custom Post Types in WordPress
Most users think WordPress is simply used as a blogging platform but, the system has evolved over the past years. By default pages and posts are the main content types however, you can create as many custom content types as you like called Custom Post Types. In this video, we will show you how to create custom post types in WordPress.

Summary of this Tutorial:
Start by installing and activating the Custom Post Type UI plugin.
The plugin will add a new menu item to your admin area called "CPT UI".
To create a new post type go under CPTUI, Add New which will also allow you to create a custom taxonomy.
The column on the left is for your post type and on the right is for your taxonomy if you need one.
You will need to provide a post type shorter than 20 characters, a plural label to show on your admin bar and a singular label for interface purposes.
And lastly add a description to describe what it does.
You can now click "Create Custom Post Type" to add your new post type.
If you want to eidt the label options click on the Advanced Label Options and Advanced Options links to customize more options for your post type.
