WordPress comes with a user role management system that defines what each user role can and can't do. Knowing these roles is important as your WordPress site grows. In this video, we will show you the different user roles and how to change permissions.

WordPress comes with 5 roles to choose from and you can view their permissions in the infographic below.
If you want to modify the roles, you will want to install the Capability Manager Enhanced plugin.
Then go to Users, Capabilities to modify them.
You can select the role you want to modify and check or uncheck the roles.
You can also create new roles if you want by naming it and clicking the create button then selecting the functions that role is allowed.
