Summary of this Tutorial:

First thing you need to do is install and activate the WP Visual Icon Fonts plugin and choose from either Font Awesome or Genericon fonts.

To use these icon fonts you need to create or edit a post, and you will see a Icons button next to the Add Media button.

Clicking on the Icons button will open a drop down menu of all the icons available in the icon font set and selecting one will insert it into the post editor.

If you change to the Text editor while the icon is in the post editor then you will be able to see and copy the HTML associated to that icon font.
